Joy Williams - now 1/2 of The Civil Wars

Joy is an old favorite of mine - I first heard her sing at a Girls of Grace convention in '02. She's no longer making "Christian" records, but she's still singing! Anyone else been listening to her newer solo music or her stuff with The Civil Wars?

I do have a couple of her albums when she was signed with a major label, but since then, I haven't heard anything from her. I mean, I knew she had released a couple of EPs I think with an independent label, but I haven't listened to any of her newer stuff. I'll have to check that out.

I have her very first CD. I first heard the song "Touch of Faith" when it was out on radio. And I have some of her songs from compilations.

So I feel like I have to put a disclaimer on TCW stuff...it is not Christian music. It's not profane (I only found one song that's objectionable for a mild cuss word, and I stuck a warning on it.) But it's not what you're used to hearing from Joy Williams, especially if the last time y'all listened to her was one of her major label albums. She's no longer pop, and she's not blonde anymore. lol.
Personally, I prefer her major label and indie stuff to TCW.
